De Brakke Grond will be the dedicated place to 'immerse in sound' from ADE's Thursday through till Saturday, with DVS1, Gary Numan, Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Tiga & Soulwax and many more on the bill.

Following up on announcements about ADE LIVE's full program and ADE Green we are calling on all aspiring DJs, producers or just music enthusiasts to mark their calendars: ADE Sound Lab is back and will run for three days at the 2017 ADE Festival Hangout, located at De Brakke Grond.

The Sound Lab program is one of the most influential and consistently exciting parts of ADE, with demos, workshops, masterclasses, presentations of new and conceptual instruments, audio-visual experiences, modular synth setups and live performances. By purchasing the ADE Card (€ 10,-), visitors can experience the very newest equipment from leading music brands at the Gear Test Lab and attend ADE MusicTalks: daily in-depth interviews with music legends such as DVS1, Gary Numan, Surgeon & Lady Starlight, Tiga & Soulwax and many more. Topics that will be discussed vary from ‘How I Play Live’  to ‘The Evolution of my Sound’ .

ADE Next
On top of all this, the ADE Sound Lab program incorporates ADE Next, allowing up-and-coming DJs, musicians, producers and artists to test out new gear, attend studio sessions, obtain insights from experienced top-of-the-bill artists, and exchange ideas with one another and with the established musicians. Every day, the event offers the chance to pitch demos, and writing camps for aspiring songwriters and vocalists. More information about the program to follow soon.

New & Emerging instruments
Furthermore, ADE Sound Lab is the place where people are immersed in sound, but also challenged to be innovative in their search of creating their own sound. Therefore, ADE called for artists, designers and developers to send in project proposals under the theme ‘New & Emerging instruments’. Eight mind-bending projects are selected to premiere at this unique event and are funded by ADE and the Creative Industries Fund NL. The open call is intended to give creative, experimental entrepreneurs in the context of electronic music a platform to showcase their work.
